As said, i will upload the map after i finish the current version. I would like to fix up with everything before properly starting off.

All those suggestions zeka made sound very promising. Hopfully Metal-Guard will be able to integrate that stuff.

Love to hear that the ewa project can still continued.and I was wonder the same question as zeka mentioned,where can we download metal guard current version?Please post it here and let us download to be your beta tester Smile

And some of the idea that zeka mentioned was really interesting.If that happens,I think that ewa will totally different from any AOS we play before.Cause now normally people still said that ewa just a rip-off from dota Sad
that was something I can't agreed with cause I really did saw something different from ewa to dota there.And I proud to be the ewa player Smile

Metal Guard, you have another site to host this project? I'd love to discuss the map with you. Maybe it's time for me to clean up this forum?
I did use Optimizer, but it doesn't seem to work that fine like how you do, lol. Dota pretty much use feature from Diablo2, that rune is from the Shrine system -.-. nothing innovative. Btw where can I download your current version of EWA?

Btw there'r some ideas I intended to implement into new vers of EWA, but apparently it never happen, so I thought I'd post it here as a suggestion:
- Max lvl become 50, and there's no stat point gain per lvl. You get 1 skill pt every lvl, and you get to choose between stat gain and new skills/upgrade skills (major change, lol)
- Skills have max lvl of 10 (anything more than 4-5), and there are items that grant +skills. The problem lies in how to limit the max lvl of skill one can learn using skill point.
- A new in-game command "-dps", in which you could use it to see your damage per second. I intended to create a 100% image and let it attack a dummy with uber health, from there take damage taken/fixed period = dps.

Well, after all, we're trying to break free from that DotA stereotype. Some1 mention this to me once, he doesn't like the idea of DotA where units being used as fodder for cash, etc... I'll think of how to change this when I have time... but then again that is what define AoS. Perhaps we'll give names to creeps, saying that they'll be revived over and over again?

P.S: Just put Metal Guard into admin position, since he's the main coder now =P. I think I'll also put kir, Chartner and Phaeoris as moderator for now, since you guys are the only regulars here, haha. Pretty much rough work, I'm not good with this web stuff T_T

Sorry for the massive triple posting, but now i've fixed my account.

Changes i plan to add besides of what i've already put in:

Further nerfing of other heroes (some heroes have a huge advantage over everyone else, like Dragon Knight which i nerfed now, or Warlock);

Adding rune system similiar to DotA in a way (though the triple damage and 5x attack speed runes are broken big time)

Modifying the healing/mana potions from the Zeppelin vendor(another gamebreaking feature; you can just pick up a heal pot and tank enemies on lower levels for a while; I'm going to change that).

One more note: Optimizing the map with Vexorian's Map Optimizer might have fixed the crashing, cause i haven't experienced any for 10 games in a row.

My account is sort of messed up on the forums, so i'll post as a guest.

At the moment my version of EWA is on 3.4, and must undergo some serious balance changes, so it will take me a while till i upload it here. Besides i have to fix JASS Newgen cause the newest wc3 patch bugged it out(already a solution in hand though). I've implemented a new hero that seriously needs some nerfing besides the other chars i've tested with friends.

Heroes i got to work on: Forest Witch(big nerf), Mountain Guardian(also nerf).
Need to do something with the pets and Shadogranz, cause if you manage to stack those on the pet it becomes a killing machine. I think i'll leave it for now since it's not worth the money to stack such an item on it.

I have 3.0 beta version that was made by you Zeka btw.

Very bad news. But may be hard drive "death" was a sign to start new project?
EWA is old map and we really love it and we will never forget about it. Sometimes i think that remaking of EWA is "dead donkey fu*king" (very old russian saying), dont think about EWA now, this is a doing of previously done work. It will only distress you. Just start something new! I think that after another project you will understand the minuses of EWA and how to make it more interesting.If you have not ideas, our brain will help you!

Well, maybe Metal Guard or someone else will work on it.

Yeah,still here looking for the next version released every month...but after heard from zeka,seem like ewa 3.0 might be the very last version... Cry

Hi guys, I noticed some of you are still here Sad, though I haven't done anything for a long time. The truth was that I was preparing a new release at the beginning of this year. Unfortunately, my hard drive crashed (during Feb), and so I lost all my World Editor data, as well as EWA Cry. I didn't do regular back up, and I regret that Cry, I lost a great deal of important data (maps, jass notes, WE addons, manga Cry). It was a depressing period T_T, I have no motivation to make map, much less continuing the EWA project. I'm sorry to say that I've stopped this project, since I don't even have the map itself (redoing it from the last version that I backup, 2.3, is a pain!). The only mean now perhaps is to edit and continue from ver 2.7, if I'm not wrong (I forget to protect that version before uploading it)

@Metal Guard:
Yea, the map is pretty much open source now (using 2.7), there have been lots of version being put on EP. I checked some of them, although it's said to be stable, but all in all they are not. They just have some model/terrain modified, that's all. Feel free to fix the map/make a new version Smile, notice me if you do release a new one cos I really wanna play it Big Grin
Btw, EWA is a project from more than 2 years ago, when I have not learned Jass yet, so much of its Jass are efficient Sad. I also guessed that the mem leak caused it to be unstable, but I was unable to fix it... Redo the scripts, making it leak-free would be as good as making a whole new map T_T. I don't have as much time as Ice Frog, lol.

Anyway, this is to inform you guys about what has happened the past months.. Hope we can still chat ^^, see you guys around
